Rich Balswick

Co-founder (Western Director), Pitching Coach, 3-time All-American & National Team Member

Coach Balswick has been involved in the sport of fastpitch softball for over 50 years.  His experience includes both coaching and playing at an elite level.

During his playing career, Rich was a national open division MVP award winner and 3-Time All-American Fastpitch Pitcher.  He participated in 3 Olympic Sports Festivals, and was a member on 3 National Championship teams.

After retiring from his playing career, Rich has spent the last 30 years as a full time pitching instructor; primarily giving lessons in California.  Over the course of that time, he has produced over 250 college pitchers, 2 Gatorade National Players of the Year, and dozens of regional and All-State players.  Coach Balswick has former students that pitched in the  Professional League; one of whom was the PAC-12 Pitcher of the Year.

Rich is a credentialed teacher who taught at Los Altos High School for over a decade.  He is well known throughout the sport as an expert in the area of safe and efficient pitching mechanics, and is an accomplished clinician and speaker.


Pat Moyer

Co-founder, NFCA Member, Executive Director (Fury Fastpitch), Owner (Fury Academy)

Pat Moyer has been involved in Fastpitch softball for 25 years.  The son of a Hall of Fame coach, Moyer founded and serves as the Executive Director of the Fury Fastpitch Youth Organization.

Over the past decade, The Fury has won 1 PGF National Championship along with  2 ASA National Championships, 2 ASA Southern Championships, 1 USSSA National Championship, 1 USFA National Championship as well as three top ten finishes at PGF Nationals.  In 2014, Moyer and his 16U Fury 97 team were named the NFCA Travel Ball Coaching Staff of the Year for the Southeast region.

Coach Moyer also serves on the National Fastpitch Coaching Association (NFCA) recruiting committee and has been a member of the NFCA for many years.  Moyer is also the founder and organizer of some of the top exposure tournaments and showcase events in the South.

Moyer owns and operates Fury Academy in Chattanooga, TN.  The Academy is a 12,000 square foot training facility that offers instruction in pitching, hitting, defense, and performance training.  Over 350 students – ranging in age from 6 to 19 – train at his facility each week.


Mike Muhleisen

Co-founder (Northeast Director), Pitching & Hitting Coach, Applications Developer

An accomplished clinician and speaker, Mike has spent the last 15 years traveling the country and hosting local clinics for aspiring softball pitchers, hitters, and coaches.  Coach Mike also spent 5 years developing a youth softball program, serving as coach & commissioner.

Combining personal experience with years of dedicated kinesiology and biomechanics study, Mike continues to pioneer creative and effective methods for teaching softball fundamentals.  In addition to running regular pitching clinics, Mike also develops and implements strength & conditioning programs for his student-athletes.

Muhleisen has helped produce over 100 collegiate softball players in the last decade, as well as worked with hundreds of aspiring athletes that are well on their way.  He currently lives in NY, where he has recently turned his focus towards hosting one-on-one training.

Mike also brings a professional background in computer sciences and media design.  Spending 20 years developing computer based solutions, Mike is also in charge of overseeing digital content creation, video tutorials, and site content design.
